This Privacy Policy explains how Shrinkly ("we", "us", or "the app") handles information when you use the Shrinkly mobile application. Shrinkly is designed around a simple principle: the images and documents you process should remain under your control.

In short: Shrinkly’s core image compression, resizing, and PDF creation features are designed to process files locally on your device. No account is required for these core features, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little information as reasonably necessary. Depending on your device, app version, and how you use Shrinkly, information may include:

• Files you choose to process. Images and PDFs selected for processing are handled locally by the app for the requested operation. We do not operate a cloud service that receives the contents of those files for core processing.
• Usage and diagnostic data. We may receive limited, aggregated, or anonymized crash, performance, and usage information through platform or analytics services to help improve reliability.
• Purchase information. If Shrinkly offers a paid upgrade, Apple or Google handles the payment transaction. We may receive purchase status or transaction identifiers needed to unlock or restore features, but we do not receive your full card or bank details.
• Support information. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, device details, and problem description.

2. How We Use Information

We use limited information only when needed to operate and improve Shrinkly, diagnose technical issues, restore purchases, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Local File Processing

Files you save are stored in locations controlled by your device and operating system. Copies may also be included in device backups or cloud photo/file backups that you separately enable through Apple, Google, your device manufacturer, or another provider. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers only when necessary to operate support, diagnostics, analytics, purchase validation, or other app-related services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.

5. Third-Party Services

Shrinkly may rely on third-party platform services such as Apple App Store, Google Play, operating-system file pickers, crash reporting, or analytics. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

Locally processed files remain on your device according to your actions and device settings. Diagnostic or support information, if collected, is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

7. Children’s Privacy

Shrinkly is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support channel, contact us so we can review the request.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your Choices

You can control the files you select, delete locally saved outputs using your device controls, manage app permissions in system settings, and disable or limit platform analytics where your device provides those options.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Shrinkly changes or when legal requirements evolve. We will update the “Last updated” date above when a new version is published.
